About us

Maharishi Education Charitable Trust (MECT) supports the teaching of  Transcendental Meditation (TM) and the more advanced TM-Sidhi programme in New Zealand. The Trust is committed to helping TM teachers fulifill the aspirations to bring health and happiness to all New Zealanders. Our goal is to create a group of 10,000 practitioners of the TM-Sidhi programme regularly meeting.  Studies have shown that negative tendencies such as crime, drug abuse and violence of all kinds dissolve in atmosphere of calm that is generated by such a group.
